CommentsCarrie Nelson (Quarry Hill Nature Center) observed a rusty crayfish with a group of summer camp participants on June 15, 2018. For the past 20+ years she has been taking summer camp participants to this creek and others around town to do stream studies and they have never come across a rusty before. She collected the specimen for education purposed at the Nature Center. Only one crayfish was found with a body length of 8.7 cm and claws being 3 cm in length.
