CommentsReproducing population has been observed regularly since March 2020. Outfall pipe feeding Bluff Creek drains from Playa Vista Park fountains, where M. tuberculata have also been observed. On 8 Mar 2022, two specimens of M. tuberculata were also collected from the storm drain manhole at the adjacent intersection of Artisan's Wy and Bluff Creek Dr. The three specimens from Bluff Creek, and the two from the storm drain were deposited as voucher specimens in the Malacology collection at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
