Comments25 Aug 2021 Bryazoan colonies have been growing on and around our dock for 40+ years. This year the colonies were both late and few. The ones that did exist got very, very large though - 2+ft long. This was a very hot summer. Subjectively the water in the river seemed less clean this year. The number of bryozoans was better than last year, but nothing like previous years where, they are all over; attached to ropes, floats, logs, sticks, etc. Sorry, no pictures this year.
