CommentsA single adult was captured and killed by an angler who reported the capture with photos to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. Follow-up electrofishing surveys by Pennsylvania Department of Enviromental Protection biologists did not yield any more specimens, and additionally no specimens were caught by PFBC biologists doing scheduled fieldwork on sport fish in the general area. Based on inspection of photos of the fish (appears to have been raised in captivity by morphology) and the lack of additional captures, PFBC believes this represents an isolated released of a single individual at this time.
