CommentsJennifer Roman first documented the infestation, which was confirmed by Kim Holzer two weeks later. There is a filter at the pond outflow and an additional vegetated buffer preventing release into the adjacent Spokane River. The City of Post Falls, Avista Utilities and other partners are actively working on an invasive species management strategy for the ponds.
