Title:Caulerpa prolifera removal, eDNA data collection, and fragment transport data collection at Collins Isle, Newport Beach, California
Publisher:Marine Taxonomic Services, Ltd.
Pages:5 pp
CommentsOn May 3, 2022, MTS and Merkel & Associates (M&A) performed the removal of C. prolifera at Collins Isle. While on site, the team provided support for two additional activities. The first additional activity was the collection of water samples to evaluate the potential to detect environmental DNA (eDNA) that may be shed by C. prolifera into the water. The second action was to provide samples of the removed C. prolifera to support circulation modelling to determine the potential fate of C. prolifera fragments in Newport Harbor.
