CommentsTo the best of our knowledge, no Pomacea spp. have previously been recorded in the Comal or San Marcos systems. On May 1, 2025, an adult P. maculata/canaliculata (Fig. 1) was found in the new channel of the Comal adjacent to the RV park (approximately 29.7075, -98.1303). This location was across the channel from the vertical wall below Wurstfest (potential egg laying site).
