CommentsSome plants scattered on the flats all over the area mixed in with the spatterdock so it would be virtually impossible to find and remove them all by hand. I removed all plants that I found in the main channel that would not be impacted by a drawdown. I'm very confident that if we could drain the pond and keep it down for a month or two we'll kill everything that I saw, most of which was in 6" to 12" of water.  I breached the beaver dam this morning but I know that will not last long. Fresh mud was all along the dam along with freshly cut trees so the beavers are definitely back.
