CommentsBoth species are native the state of Alabama, G. affinis is found in the Tennessee River drainage and Mobile Basin exclusive of the Mobile Delta; while G. holbrooki is found in the Mobile Delta and coastal drainages eastward. However, Boschung, Jr. and Mayden 2004 state that both species were stocked for mosquito control in various places in Alabama.
