Comments"...we encountered two empty turtle shells. The scutes were still intact but faded. I am able to identify the native Wisconsin species but these shells had me confused. A UW-Whitewater herpetologist was in our office yesterday and I had him take a look. He was fairly sure they are red-eared sliders. Upon viewing some photos of this species I would have to agree."
