Impact Description"Overall, parrot feather contained the highest heavy metal concentrations found in any sample collected for this study, with copper and zinc concentrations being over twice the concentrations of these metals in the next most accumulative species. Aquatic vegetation can be a source of food for a variety of herbivores and detritivores leading to the possibility of bioaccumulation of metals in higher trophic levels of the food chain."
