Impact DescriptionIn Southwestern United States, Arundo donax uses significantly more water than native vegetation, thus further altering the natural flood regime. Arundo donax has been shown to transpire 56,250 acre-feet of water over the course of a year compared to native species which transpired 18,700 acre-feet.
