Impact DescriptionMyriophyllum aquaticum can alter the cycling of heavy metals in aquatic systems. Researchers found that M. aquaticum accumulated the highest overall levels of metals (zinc, cadmium, copper, and lead) in its tissues of all 15 aquatic plants that underwent testing.
