Impact DescriptionAlternanthera philoxeroides had high efficiency at restraining the translocation of cadmium (Cd), and it showed a high degree of Cd partitioning in the plant roots. A. philoxeroides is a good candidate for use in the Cd-phytoremediation of invaded aquatic environments, and it could act a biomarker of aquatic environments contaminated with Cd.
