| Comments | Initial finding was on 8-22-2012 by Ed Lagace who is familiar with the plant. Further recon on 8-24 and 8-27 revealed the extent of the infestation. Most of the plants floating along channel with thick duckweed slowing their progress. One location had two large mats of plants. On Sep. 5 and 14, 2012, staff removed lettuce from site by collecting by hand, bagging, and removing from area. An estimated 27,000 plants (including mothers and daughters) were removed.
