Impact DescriptionMean total length of adult freshwater drum Aplodinotus grunniens has decreased since the zebra mussel Dreissena polymorphainvaded Lake Erie where mussels comprised more than two-thirds of stomach samples in these fish. Freshwater drum may not benefit having zebra mussels as a staple of their diet.
