Impact DescriptionThe results of this study showed that P. stratiotes accumulated Zn, Cr, Cu, Pb, Ag and Cd to a high concentration, Hg was moderately accumulated but was poor in Ni uptake. If the major goal of the phytoremediation process is to remove the maximum amount of element in the shortest possible time, then P. stratiotes is a potential candidate for the removal of Zn, Cr, Cu,Cd, Pb, Ag and Hg.
