Impact DescriptionThe destruction of macrophyte beds in two Spanish lakes by common carp negatively impacted the abundance of numerous waterfowl, including ducks, grebes, and flamingos. However, common carp served as a food source for gray herons (Ardea cinerea), bolstering their populations.
