Impact DescriptionFollowing the introduction of Corbicula fluminea to the Potomac River Estuary, a series of ecosystem-level changes appeared to occur, including increased water clarity followed by growth of fish, bird, and submerged aquatic plant populations, all of which evidently reversed with the decline of C. fluminea populations.
