Impact DescriptionThe invasion of Alternanthera philoxeroides increased soil organic carbon content and density in both the river and the constructed wetland. It also significantly shifted the soil microbial community in the constructed wetland. A. philoxeroides invasion might increase the carbon storage in rivers and constructed wetlands.
