CommentsA freshwater mussel survey was conducted on a 125 mi stretch of the Upper Delaware River starting at Hancock, NY (beginning of mainstem Delaware), ending at Columbia, NJ. No zebra mussels were found in this area. The first C. fluminea shell was found just below the Delaware Water Gap (Specimen ID # 154670) and the first live C. fluminea found is this record. Future surveys will be conducted.
