Impact DescriptionFollowing the installation of a Cyprinus carpio barrier at Cootes Paradise Marsh (Lake Ontario), average turbidity was reduced by 40% in open water and 60% in vegetated areas. Further implications for plants and wildlife were difficult to assess due to variation in environmental conditions.
